The flashing red dot (LED) indicates the Sanden is currently in 'sleep mode', it is perfectly normal and nothing to worry about.

How do I use the block out timer so that I run my Sanden when my solar PV is at maximum production around 12 pm? Or at off-peak times i.e. 10 pm to 7 am?

Note: After installation only 'maintenance mode' should be used for block out changes. There is another procedure on page 16 of the installation manual related to the block out timer this only applies when the unit is first installed.

Is water quality an important consideration for the Sanden Eco® Plus heat pump hot water system?
Yes, importantly no warranty applies to the heat pump unit and the storage tank, where the chloride level exceeds 200 mg/litre and the pH is less than 6.0. If in doubt, seek water quality information from your local council or water supplier.
