Solar Victoria have announced a cap on the Solar Victoria Solar Panel Rebate capping at only 2,000 more solar PV applications for 2018-19.
The solar panel rebate will open again on 1 July 2019. Solar Victoria have not announced what the rebate amount will be from 1 July 2019, you will however have an additional offering of no-interest loans to complement the rebate. Solar for renters and solar battery rebates will also open in July 2019.
While the Solar Victoria Rebate was initially announced at 24,000 applications for the 2018-19, Pure Electric understands they have accepted more than 30,000 applications, the remaining 2,000 will bring a total of 32,000 applications for the 2018-19 program once it is fully subscribed.
Pure Electric sought comment and clarification from Solar Victoria and It is not clear if the Solar Rebate application made in 2019-20 will be retrospective for installs before 1 July 2019.
