QUICK REVIEW
High-efficiency, all-electric hot water engineered for Australian conditions.
The Daikin CO₂ Heat Pump Hot Water system uses advanced heat pump technology and natural CO₂ (R744) refrigerant to deliver reliable hot water with significantly higher efficiency than conventional electric or gas systems. By extracting heat from the surrounding air and transferring it into stored water, the system reduces energy consumption while maintaining consistent hot water availability for everyday household use.
Key system characteristics:
Delivers up to 6× the efficiency of traditional electric resistance or gas water heaters
Uses natural CO₂ (R744) refrigerant with a Global Warming Potential (GWP) of 1
Designed for all-electric homes and optimised for operation alongside solar PV systems
Backed by a 10-year manufacturer’s parts and labour warranty
Model(s): TU25SSZA (250L), TU32SSZA (315L)
Daikin CO₂ Hot Water systems are powered by advanced heat pump technology that captures heat from the surrounding air and transfers it into stored water. By using atmospheric heat rather than generating heat directly, the system delivers hot water efficiently while significantly reducing energy consumption.

Heat pump technology allows the system to turn one unit of electrical energy into up to six units of heat, making it far more efficient than traditional electric or gas water heaters. The system operates automatically and is designed to provide reliable hot water throughout the day, even in busy households.
For additional flexibility, the system can be paired with the optional Airbase Outdoor Wi-Fi kit, allowing control via the Airbase app from a smartphone or tablet. Users can adjust hot water availability and operating schedules to suit household usage patterns, helping reduce unnecessary energy use.
Key control features include:
Scheduling mode to take advantage of solar generation or off-peak electricity
Auto Adaptive Mode, which learns household hot water usage over seven days and automatically adjusts heating times and volumes
Heat Boost Mode, which can quickly reheat the tank to provide additional hot water when demand is higher
Vacation Mode, which reduces energy use while away and automatically runs the anti-legionella cycle

Why Choose Daikin CO₂ Heat Pump Hot Water System?
The Daikin CO₂ Heat Pump Hot Water system is designed and built for long-term performance, durability, and ease of installation and maintenance. Every component is engineered to withstand Australian conditions while delivering efficient and reliable hot water.
Built to withstand the elements
The outdoor unit features a Blue Fin condenser with a special anti-corrosion coating, helping protect the system against harsh environmental conditions and extending service life.Integrated, practical controls
A built-in master controller with a weather-proof cover is mounted directly on the unit, allowing easy access during commissioning, operation, and ongoing servicing.Designed for straightforward installation
Built-in handles make the system easier to move on site, while a pre-configured Quickie Kit includes the required fittings to simplify installation. UV-treated insulation adds durability in exposed conditions.Durable water storage tank
The duplex stainless steel tank is manufactured using a high-chromium duplex alloy, offering improved corrosion resistance and long-term reliability compared to common stainless steel grades such as 316L.Efficient and reliable heating performance
A compact double-wall coiled heat exchanger maximises heat transfer efficiency while minimising the risk of contamination between refrigerant and water. Daikin’s swing compressor operates quietly and efficiently to deliver consistent heating with reduced energy use.Designed for easier maintenance
An accessible water pump layout allows servicing or replacement to be carried out efficiently, helping extend the overall life of the system.
